Elementary & Middle School: Arithmetic & Abacus

We offer lessons for all grades of Elementary/Middle School Math and English, carefully planning our lessons in accordance with the State of Texas TEKS. Our special unique course offering is the Arithmetic and Abacus course, where students learn both mathematical concepts and also learn how to calculate large numbers within their heads at a rate where calculators are not needed. Both skills complement each other – abacus helps making learning new concepts much easier and faster, and learning new mathematical concepts encourages students to stay sharp and practice abacus.

We make sure that children receive appropriate preparation in all areas required by the Board of Education, so that they can be prepared to succeed in their academic endeavors! Please check our syllabus for more details on this course.

High School

We also use the Texas TEKS, as well as our experience as current high school students, to help high schoolers. We teach most courses, as listed below. Please check our syllabus for more details on each course; if there are none, personally reach our to us or check www.collegeboard.org.

Popular lessons include:

AP Precalculus & Precalculus

AP Precalculus/Precalculus

AP Precalculus/Precalculus is a course that serves as preparation for calculus – it ensures that students have a strong base in math, ranging in proficiency from skills such as algebra to geometry understanding functions on a deeper level.

AP Statistics

AP Statistics is a deep dive in to world of statistics on a collegiate level. Students learn how to think critically about numbers and data, ranging from collecting data to analyzing distributions of quantitative variables.

Algebra II

Algebra II

Algebra II builds upon the ideas of Algebra I, focusing on function behaviors to understanding exponents and logarithms. Proficiency in Algebra II is integral to understanding calculus and being able to achieve success in future math classes.

Algebra I

Algebra I

Algebra I is the study of the foundations of algebra, ranging from basic systems of equations to graphs of various functions. Furthermore, we look into how algebra applies to our lives.

Geometry

Geometry is focused on the study of the properties of space. We investigate how geometry can be applied to daily tasks, from measuring distance to understanding advanced thinking.

Calculus

Calculus

Calculus is the final main class of high school; students learn mathematics on a high level. This course is highly rigorous and requires proficiency in the following math skills: Algebra, Geometry & Precal.
